Dr. Árni Björnsson

Dr. Árni Björnsson is a scholar and lecturer in Icelandic language and literature, and was Director of the Folklore Department of the National Museum of Iceland between 1969–2002. He received his Cand. mag. in Icelandic studies and his PhD in cultural history from the University of Iceland in 1961 and 1995. One of his major writings is Wagner and the Volsungs (2003).
